Flow and return hot water systems (also known as ring main systems) speed up the delivery of hot water to your taps. A circulating pipe allows the water to flow around in a circuit. When the water is not being used and the pipe gets cold, the pump will automatically turn on so that hot water flows into the circuit and cold water returns to the tank. This makes sure hot water is always right there, in the pipes, waiting for you.
